| This is my
story, and it all starts on December 30, 2002.....
Hello there, My name is Kira Saskianna and I am the first born twin. Because I was sitting so low in my mommy's womb, I was born at just 26 weeks gestation as a micro-preemie. As you can see from my photo above, I was just a tiny little girl who was anxious to make my way into the world. Born at 2:30 in the morning on Monday, December 30th, I made a tiny cry. The doctors were quick to give me attention, and I was put immediately on a ventilator. I used a ventilator for 3 weeks until my lungs were mature enough and I was big enough to breathe on my own. Although I was there for what seemed like a long time, I had a fairly easy time in the NICU, with just a few episodes of Bradycardia (low heart rates), and just needed time to gain weight and grow before I could go home with Mommy.... I spent a total of 12 weeks in the hospital until I was ready to come home on March 22nd, 2003.
